We have just begun our adventure. Well, sort of. When our twins were born four years ago, our travel slowed down a bit. But we have always dreamt of traveling the world with our kids. We were intentional about building a business that could be location independent. But, could it really work? And could we travel with the kids while running a business? We’ve found a huge success and we have learned a ton.
I’ve always been a traveler, but others expected me to just magically stop loving to travel when I got to the age where I should be “settling down.” I expected that too, but it didn’t happen. You don’t outgrow a love of travel! Life makes it more challenging, but don’t let circumstances keep you from seeing the world.
Your story and family really inspires me, I would love to give my wife and two boys a travel experience. Before NomadTogether there was very little online in the way of Nomadic-anything for families. I am currently building up my writing business to take my own family of 4 on the road in the not-so-far-off future.
We are pretty dedicated unschoolers. Although we obviously haven’t been at it a long time it is something I’m pretty passionate about and that works really well for our family. If you ever have questions or want resources, just ask. Safe and beautiful travels to your entire family.

Who is NomadTogether?
NomadTogether was started by Paul and Becky Kortman who blog at Home Along the Way. When they began location independence they couldn’t find many resources to support them as they changed their lifestyle. This community was birthed out of a desire to connect with nomad families. The Kortmans want to help others realize a life of freedom through location independence by providing tools and encouragement where there used to be none.
But who are we kidding, we could not have done this alone and it’s really the members who build and maintain the culture and identity of NomadTogether.

Within the community we’re developing resources and people to help you find location freedom. For now we’re focused on building out a rock-star community to help you answer that very question. Many have made the leap to location independence and would love to assist you.

Can I join if I'm single and don't have any children?
Yes, you are able to join Nomad Together. We were all single once. :)
Ideally, your reasons for joining as a single person would be one of the following:

- Interested in supporting the location independent family movement
